Kristina Tkach Wins the 2025 WPBA Olhausen Colorado Classic at Felt Billiards in Englewood, CO
Englewood, Colorado • August 24, 2025 — In the thin air of the Rocky Mountains, the stakes rose even higher. The 2025 WPBA Olhausen Colorado Classic, hosted at Felt Billiards Bar & Restaurant in Englewood, delivered yet another electrifying chapter in the women’s professional billiards tour.
But before the brackets began, the community showed up in force.
Kicking Off with Connection: The Pro-Am
On August 20th, the event launched with a unique Scotch Triples Pro-Am, pairing one pro with two amateurs to create 14 teams of 3. The energy was high, the laughter infectious, and the competition lighthearted yet fierce. Teams battled in round-robin format with coaching, sharking, and even bonus points for special shots.
When the dust settled, April Larson, alongside amateurs Don Carrigan and Vince Arellano, raised the Pro-Am trophy and set the tone for the unforgettable week ahead.
Champion Kristina Tkach
Main Event Madness: 64 Players, 10 Diamonds, and Titans Collide
The main event kicked off on August 21st, on ten 9-foot Diamond Pro Am Tables with brand new Simonis Cloth, Aramith Balls, and The Perfect Rack. A full field of 64 players entered, including global stars like:
Kristina Tkach (World #1)
Allison Fisher (Multiple-time World Champion)
Margarita Fefilova Styer (Defending Champion)
Pia Filler, Monica Webb, Savannah Easton, and more
The winner’s bracket narrowed to a powerhouse final four: Kristina Tkach vs Allison Fisher, and a rematch from last year’s final: Margarita Fefilova vs Pia Filler.
Kristina was able to secure an early lead, and the two champions exchanged a few racks until Kristina pulled further ahead and sank the final 9 ball to advance to the Hot Seat match. Margarita kept her very strong and confident play going, and advanced 8-6. Kristina and Margarita would meet for the hot seat match.
Rising Stars, Returning Legends
Juniors and legends collided throughout the event:
Savannah Easton won her first three matches before falling to Fisher
Sofia Mast, 2024 Junior World Champ, also made waves before losing to Monica Webb
The two prodigies met on the one-loss side, with Savannah edging Sofia 8–6
Other standout performances included:
Nicole Keeney (raised in Colorado) finished tied for 13th
Kaley Sullivan, Stacie Bourbeau, Trinh Lu, and Khanh Ngo all earned spots through WPBA-sanctioned qualifiers
The Final Rounds: Tkach Turns the Corner
Margarita once again captured the hot seat, defeating Kristina 8–6 in the semifinals. But on the one-loss side, Eylul Kibaroglu and Savannah Easton were dismantling opponents with dominant play.
That is, until Allison Fisher and Pia Filler, fresh off their first losses, dropped into the bracket and brought the momentum. They ended the incredible runs of both Eylul and Savannah, securing them 5th–6th place finishes.
Pia then outlasted Allison 8–5
Kristina rebounded strongly, defeating Pia 8–2 to earn her shot at redemption
The final match was an extended race to 10. With the score tied 6–6, a single mistake from Margarita opened the door. Kristina stormed through, ran out after a 4-ball break, and closed the match 10–7.
Kristina came in ranked #1 and finished #1. Margarita came in ranked #2 and finished #2.
Streamed Around the World
Every match was streamed live on the WPBABilliards YouTube channel and broadcast globally via Billiard TV (Samsung, LG, Roku, Amazon Prime Live, and more).
